Recharge the batteries

I was three days in my old house, in my city … just to recharge the batteries.

But recharging the batteries in a metaphorical sense, of spirit, of life, of habits and of encounters (joints permitting) then led me to an adventure, obviously one of mine, where recharging the batteries was that in the literal sense.recharge the batteries.

Three days in Florence. I managed to frame two lunches and a coffee by “forcing” friends to have lunch outdoors… (since I am immunosuppressed). Recharging the batteries in this sense was walking around the city… lunch at Ganino’s, seeing friends for a quick coffee, lunch at the studiogaio.

I felt as if nothing had happened, if I wasn’t ill, if these years of illness, deafness, chemotherapy, hospitals and a hostile country hadn’t existed. As if everything was as before, normal, my life before the disease.

It was nice, strange, to go back there, as if nothing had happened. Above all, don’t feel ill, or deaf (although I always find it hard to follow speeches from time to time). Without meds, cortisone, weight swings… not feeling adequate. and perhaps this was my way of overcoming the disability that I have…don’t pretend that it doesn’t exist, but to have the people who love you next to you and for whom you are always the usual dazed…that’s me.

In addition to recharging the batteries in a “spiritual sense”, so to speak, the adventure of sordamaldestra could not be missing.

I specify that the cochlear implant has a battery. During the night the system must be removed (placed in the dehumidifier) and the battery must be charged. charger with a regular USB socket.

What happens if you, when you’re in bed, in the heat (given how cold it was) after midnight, you realize that you don’t have the plug for the electrical socket??? eh you’re there…and you say, now what?? how the heck do I reload????

so, I pick up the phone, call my husband, ask for help… I rummage throughout the house, I open boxes, small boxes, I find Iphone sockets, cables, everything… but no plug. In the end it is agreed that I have to recharge it with the laptop .. (USB socket).

So the husband explains to me how to not put the computer on standby… I’ll give it a try. There is a light in the room that not even in a tanning center…I think I’m really sordamaldestra, that in the end I don’t have a brain…

and what happens?

I stumble over the chromecast which has a beautiful Italian socket for the current and USB.

I look at him all happy, satisfied and I warn her husband.

Nothing in the end I also recharged the batteries of the system.

the next update will be on health.

check in three days.
