Hacked

This morning I wake up, and I see that I received few unusual emails from Amazon. Being not the brightest person of the lot in the early morning, I delete all of them thinking it’s junk mail.
After my sweet breakfast I remembered that I need to buy a new pair of headphones and so I open the Amazon app, but hey, this time it is not letting me in..

After a few more failed attempts at typing my passwords I slowly start to put things togeher, and being the clumsy person I am it took me a while to realize that I had been the victim of a hacker and my Amazon account was illegally accessed and someone else had taken its control.

Luckily my husband was around and he promptly called the customer care which seamleassly took the case under investigation and proceeded to block the account and fix everything right away.
I had to re-create a new account but the bad thing was that in the process I had to block my credit card.

So what now??????? All my planned and unplanned future online purchases, all the monstrous shit that I buy online every day have been temporarily taken away from me! And now I will have to wait until the bank will issue me a new card. Such a tragedy!

I have realized that this hacker guy dug a hole in the water: in short, my finances are anything but colossals. What was he expecting to steal from me?
He ended up being an additional annoyance!

Having lost my hearing it is hard for me to promptly communicate with customer services, banks, credit card companies and such, and if it was not for my husband I would not be able to handle the situation by myself.
And in fact this morning I wanted to buy headphones to be able to hear better when watching a TV show or a movie.
Strictly with subtitles for the moment being, as I am unable to properly understand until I don’t get better at hearing…

The truth is that I am a deaf person.
It is hard to admit it but I have to come to terms with my condition and it will not be easy.
I have to accept my new difficulties to be able to overcome all of them.

One step at a time…
