jumpsuit or toni

For Florence and for the Florentines the tracksuit is called TONI.

One of the most accredited versions of why it is called Toni is the following. During the Second World War, the US soldiers who were in Florence, with the end of the war, wrote on the suits TO.N.Y or “to New York” to indicate the return home. These suits, however, were never shipped overseas and ended up on the stalls of the San Lorenzo market.

So the Florentines bought the suits and began to call them toni.

And since then the tracksuit in Florence is called TONI.I instead used to heels, to clothes for work (sorry outfit) … I find myself now buying tracksuits !!!!

I don’t even have sneakers … I don’t run anyway and I don’t like them, I found myself buying sneakers and wearing shades.

I must admit that now, however, there are models that do not look like tones, First of all there are not fleece but cashmere (in short, mixed wool and viscose with 1% cashmere) and then they have a modern, cute cut. I must say that I am very satisfied with my purchases. Although I certainly won’t be seen around like that.

Then I think that so deaf, in a red region (in the concept of lockdown due to the pandemic that we all know), where do you want me to go?

The only one who can see me is the delivery man, who actually arrives, asks for confirmation of the recipient without even getting out of the van and tossing the package. Great meetings!

In short, in this not so easy period for now I have discovered the suit / toni.

Who knows what I will be able to discover in the coming days.
