I desperately need Paris

I am in desperate need of Paris.

Like the famous line of a legendary film for many of us, I write it but just for the sake of completeness (“the devil wears Prada”, Stanley Tucci’s line to Andy “chanel, you desperately need chanel) I desperately need Paris Now between Chanel and Paris there is not even all this difference.

These days I have been silent but I am and I was very agitated. The results of the exams do not arrive, I do not know when I will be able to do the control resonance … and I think of new catastrophic scenarios. Now what do I do not to think, I think of Paris. Because? because I was happy there. Perhaps the best time of my life.

But let’s go in order. I had to do an internship in Paris for 6 months. I stayed there for almost two years, working, having fun shopping and above all being in Paris. And here are the travel tips. The order is a bit scattered, based on what comes to mind and what I was doing.

First thing “Chez Janou“. Provençal cuisine restaurant behind the Place de Voges. My favorite bistro, where it is worthwhile to sit down and have a glass of wine while waiting for the table and enjoy the chocolate mousse for dessert.

The snack on Saturday afternoon at Fauchon’s, I went to the one a la Madeline. With the eclairs, the various flavors of the month The most beautiful was that of July … strawberry and cream mousse and on top of the icing with the colors of the French flag, You know, they are very nationalist.

Stroll along the seine, see the Eiffel tower that lights up (in the evening at every hour on the dot for about two minutes) and then see it off (I remember from three or four in the morning it was off), cross the Champs at that precise point in avenue Marceau where if you stop at the traffic lights in the middle of the street you will see the triumphal arch on one side and the gardens on the other.

Sitting on the green seats at the Tuleries, or at the Luxemburg gardens, uncomfortable but typically French.

Picasso Museum, Rodin Museum. Go to secret parties, or get some invitations for the fashion week shows.

Sunday afternoon in the Marais, with its vintage shops and its small bistros for the Brung. Find corners where to have an aperitif in Saint Germain and go to Bon Marchè, Pass by Colette (if it’s closed now).

And then I like to walk, so walk around and discover small hidden corners, which everyone feels is their own. I loved crossing the bridges, the flower market on the ile della cite … get to Montmatre, and then take the metro because it’s too tired and just get to Chatelet (all lines pass by there).

And I no longer know how to stop and how to stop ….

for this and for many other reasons I desperately need Paris.
