Covent Garden
In my wandering around London, I certainly couldn’t miss this obligatory stop at Covent Garden.
It is an area of London that was formerly the site of a historic covento with a garden, which then became a fruit and vegetable market (with periods of decline of the square) up to us, where the historic square is home to shops and restaurants and the area is teeming with theaters. (in fact next door is the Royal Opera House).
But obviously I leave out the historical notes, and focus more on the contemporary
I liked it a lot. The square with the beauty shops (first of all Chanel and Dior), then move on to chocolate, the Pain Quotidien, La Dureé … (in short, I’ve gone stupid).
I like a French corner in London, a little bit of Paris. the beautiful thing that I like here, which I also did in Paris was walking aimlessly, and getting lost in the city, discovering corners that I then did only mine.
Here, in Covent Garden I rediscovered my way. Yes it’s true I’m in London but I can always feel a little French inside.
Having said that, I must say, however, that entering the Chanel beauty shop was not so nice, in short, I like the one in Florence more. A bit of healthy parochialism.
At the moment we say that the new therapy is not giving too many problems, so I can walk, drink, eat … in short, everything is normal apart from deafness. Sometimes I forget that I’m deaf, that is, I think about something and then I realize that I don’t know if it suits me … example. Covent Garden, full of theaters … there was Mamma Mia and I’d like to go and see it … Now in English I don’t know how much I can understand … but at least I already know the songs!
I’ll update you later … for now, I have other itineraries and ideas for the next month. I will try to do everything in small steps.
Meanwhile, I started.
