Autoimmune disease and the sun
Here I am, back in Italy, for some time, and from the cold of the hostile country, I couldn’t resist taking a break by the sea. The sun, the warmth…
The relationship between autoimmune disease and the sun is quite particular, especially for me.
I have always loved the sun and the heat, although after a while, I would get tired and seek refuge in the shade.
When I was on heavy cortisone treatment, I had to avoid the sun. Moreover, my patience and tolerance for the heat were something truly enduring, I would say like a cat on a busy road.
Now, with these therapies, I tolerate the sun a little better, although I still spent only ten minutes in the sun and immediately sought shade.
The right amount of sun?
I have no idea.
The funny thing is that, nevertheless, one feels good in the sun, doing nothing…
And as my husband would say, doing nothing on vacation feels good anywhere…
Reply: Well, not for me, certainly.
