Guess Who I am
Guess who I am seems like a psychologist’s question, a psychotherapist’s question. In short, from those introspective things. Instead, I speak in a much simpler way than guessing who I am in the portrait.
Well I’m the last one at the bottom right, with crazy hair, star-studded trousers and a color combination that is the envy of Alessandro Michele (those unfamiliar with google).
The portrait was made by my granddaughter, on the occasion of her grandfather’s birthday. Small premise, my niece has avoided in the portrait the males such as her father and her uncles, putting instead her brother, her cousin and the grandfather of course. Then he put his grandmother, his mother and his aunts, one of whom is myself.
Now, why all this fuss around a drawing? Because when I asked my niece why she drew me so strange and out of context (considering that I was dressed in gray during the portrait), she replies. “because you are the nice aunt”.
A world has opened up to me. Or rather, I’m back to being the sordamaldestra fool I’ve always been.
There were also signs of this inner change in a post that I put on instagram about one of my shopping adventures (when the metal detector rings at the exit of the store and you think that it is the bionic ear that is ringing and instead it is an anti-shoplifting left in a sweater, which you had bought in another store though) and then it came back to me when all the pasta fell on me because I wanted to cook (this is an old blog article) …. then I understood this:
now the situation is this, I am deaf. I am doing the treatments to keep my autoimmune disease under control. A lot of bad luck is always around the corner but I can’t be afraid to do anything. I found my smile again thinking about my misadventures which at times also brought anger.
Well, now I’m going to blog about the funny things that happen to me, and also on instagram. Let’s say I want to give a more positive cut to my situation. But not even positive, I would say realistic in the sordamaldestra that distinguishes me.
and now guess who i am?
